Ducks by Junie and Caspar

                       Mallard              


Duck have difrrent colurs. They breed 2-6 eggs once a year. The eggs are grey and white. Ducks eat grass, fish, insects and worms. Duck are herd animlas. They are perfect swimmers but can walk and fly a littel bit. Ducks can float in water and air. Ducks have diffrent races.

 One race is the Mallard. Mallard is 50- 65 cm long, the male has a green and the female is all brown.


 Mariana Mallard is an extinct type of duck.  I´t died out 1979. A nother type of duck is ringed teal. 


The Ringed Teal is a small duck of South American forest. The wood duck or Carolina duck was found in North America, its one of the most collerfull North American Waterfowl.  A adult wood duck is 47- 54 cm long and the lenght with a wingspan of between 66-73 cm. Ducks are part of the family Anatidae. 

Male Bufflehead
Bufflehead is a smal American sea duck. I´t is 32-40 cm long, and weight 270-550 g.
