Kiss is a band which focuses around the genre ''rock''. The two leaders of the band Gene Simons and Paul Stanley formed the band during January, 1973 in New york city, where they usually had street jams and such. The band was then called ''Wicked Lester''.

By wanting to go further, they set up ads in search for a drummer and guitarist, for the band which turned out to be Tommy Thayer and  Eric Singer. They then renamed the group to Kiss, however due to unknown reasons. After renaming the group they started to perform in shows, but now they were wearing make-up over their face. Their ''make-up'' are like the bands image. After years of not showing their real faces without the ''make-up'', they appeared without them during september, 1983 in MTV. Shortly after their appearence in MTV, they made a album called ''Lick It Up'', where they put a picture of them without their ''masks'', for the cover.

Gene Simons created the band together with Paul Stanley 1973. Gene was born the 25th of August, 1949 in Israel, Tirat HaCaramel. He is the lead bassist of Kiss.

Paul Stanley created the band together with Gene Simons 1973. Paul was for the 20th of January, 1952 in USA, New York. He is the guitarist of the band.

Tommy Thayer is the lead guitarist of the band. He is born the 7th November, 1960, in US, Portland. He is also a vocalist and plays keyboard.

Eric Singer is the drummer of the band. He is born the 12th May, 1958, in USA, Cleveland

He used to sing with Alice Copper.

The whole band can sing, so they share the title of vocalist.

Here is a song who kiss did sing in the album kiss gold : Calling Dr Love,God of Thunder. Calling Dr Love was written by Gene Simmons the bassist of kiss and was released 1976. God of Thunder was written by Paul Stanley and was released 1976 some month after Calling Dr Love.
